The parallelogram shaped case features a dial that is slanted diagonally, such that when their hands were up on a steering wheel, the dial was oriented upright. It was later renamed the Tank Asymtrique, taking several different shapes over its lifetime.
This Cartier Asymtrique was released in 2020 and is clearly grounded in the aesthetics of the 1996CollectionPrive, in addition to the later 2006 version. The watch bears several striking similarities to its predecessors, such as through the use ofArabic numerals and the third lug at either end, which is centred with the case. In keeping with modern tastes, the proportions have been updated, with the case measuring at 47x26mm.
