The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal of this timepiece is complemented by an Arabic numeral black ceramic dial and a date window at 3 o'clock. Its unidirectional bezel made of black ceramic with OMEGA Liquidmetal? diving scale sits atop a 39.5 mm stainless steel case. Further features are an alveol screw-in caseback and a stainless steel bracelet with patented extendable foldover clasp.

The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is capable of resisting water up to depths of 600 metres / 2000 feet / 60 bar and is equipped with a helium-escape valve. The precision and accuracy of the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8800 can be appreciated through the transparent caseback. METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology) has certified this watch after 8 strenuous tests.
